Three of the southernmost species of Pandeleteius (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) occurring south of the tenth parallel in South America are Pandeleteius griseus (Voss), P. platensis Brethes, and P. sahlbergi Howden, new species (type locality: Parana, Brazil). Diagnoses, descriptions and distributions are given for all three species. A neotype is designated for Pandeleteius griseus (Voss) and a lectotype is designated for Pandeleteius platensis Brethes.
