Otiorhynchus (Lixorrhynchus) dauniae n. sp. from Puglia (Southern Italy) is described and illustrated, with a discussion of the systematic and geonemic relations between the species and other taxa of O. (Lixorrhynchus) of the Apennine and sub-Apennine Adriatic areas. The authors give morphometric data and iconography of a yet unreported population of O. (L.) angelinii (Osella, 1985) from Monte Vettore (Monti Sibillini -Macerata province); actually that species occurs, besides central Italy, also in the Marche area. An annotated checklist and a distribution map provide updated information on the species and subspecies of the subgen. Lixorrhynchus occurring in the Adriatic regions of peninsular Italy.
