Three new species and one new genus of weevils (Coleoptera: Apionidae. Curculionidae) are described from South America. Acalles cayennensis sp.n. (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Cryptorhynchinae) is described as the first member of this widely distributed genus from French Guyana. Platyomus wellsi sp.n. (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Otiorhynchinae) is the second species of this genus from Honduras. Guyanapion calomelas gen.n. sp.n. (Coleoptera: Apionidae) is the first species of Apionidae known from French Guyana and placed in the Piezotrachelini. This assignment is discussed with regard to related tribes
