:

Acalles tolpivorus Germann & Stueben sp. n., Echinodera praedicta Germann & Stueben sp. n. and Paratorneuma aphroditae Germann & Stueben sp. n. are described from La Gomera. A further method for collecting subterrestrial Curculionidae, the "method of washed soil", was applied successfully and is presented here. Five additional species - Acalles argillosus Boheman, 1837, Acalles silosensis Stueben, 2000, Calacalles pusillus Bahr, 2000, Dendroacalles anagaensis (Stueben, 2000) and Dendroacalles poneli (Stueben, 2000) - are recorded for the first time from La Gomera. Finally breeding experiments are presented from Acalles argillosus Boheman, 1837, Acalles silosensis Stueben, 2000, Acalles tolpivorus Germann & Stueben sp. n. and Dendroacalles poneli (Stueben, 2000). With Sonchus hierrensis (Pit.) a new host-plant is presented for Acalles silosensis Stueben, 2000. All the new findings trace back to an excursion from 24.12.2004 till 9.1.2005, where 19 Cryptorhynchinae were found in 302 specimens from 30 localities on La Gomera.
