The CLIMEX and WHYWHERE models were used to predict the favourable habitat of this pest. The first favorable area covers Hainan Province, as well as Southern Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces ,which lie to the South of the Tropic of Cancer. The second favorable area included Fujian Province and Southern Zhejiang Province. There are host plants of this pest in these areas. This suggests that this species can establish populations in some parts of China.
