The curculionid beetle Acalles parvulus (Boheman, 1837) (A. turbatus) is reported new to Norway. Several specimens were collected on the island Jomfruland between 23 May and 20 June 1992 in the county of Telemark (TEY EIS 1). The specimens were found on Hassel (Corylus avellana L.) and Oak (Quercus robur L.) together with Acalles roboris, Trachodes hispidus, Enedreyeles sepicola, Orthocis alni, Orchesia minor, O. fasciata, O. undulata, Phloiotrya rufipes, Grynobius planus, Pogonocherus hispidus and Aplocnemia nebulosa.
